The Driver is responsible for operating a commercial vehicle, such as a straight truck or van, in adherence to federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies. This role involves transporting products to customer locations efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high customer service standards. The Driver also handles product loading and unloading, manages relevant paperwork, and contributes to route optimization and process improvements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely operate commercial vehicles, including straight trucks and delivery vans, while adhering to all applicable regulations and company policies.
Load and unload products manually using equipment such as handcarts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper load securing and adjustment as needed.
Complete and manage all required documentation, including delivery tickets, pre and post-trip inspections, driver logs, and vehicle service reports.
Maintain excellent customer relations by ensuring timely deliveries and interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Address and report any customer complaints or issues to management.
Operate material-handling equipment safely and follow established procedures.
Develop and maintain effective customer relationships through timely and clear communication.
Identify and suggest route improvements and efficiencies to management.
Maintain a clean driving record and report any traffic violations or accidents to management immediately.
Comply with all Federal, State, and Department of Transportation regulations and company policies.
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and increase operational efficiency.
