The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production of high-quality products. The role involves monitoring machine operations, adjusting controls as needed, and ensuring that all products meet company and customer standards.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and tend to machines, including blown film extruders, silicone coaters, rewind/slitters, and auxiliary equipment.
- Monitor machine operations, control boards, and gauges for malfunctions, adjusting controls and operational parameters as necessary.
- Load materials into machines, accurately weigh them, and adjust feed mechanisms to set feed rates.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to determine correct production parameters and quality specifications, and record details of any machine malfunctions.
- Maintain cleanliness of machinery and work area, including wiping finish rollers and washing finish trays when necessary.
- Ensure film and raw material quality meets company and customer standards, including performing QA testing as needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to monitor machine gauges and indicators for proper operation.
- Skill in controlling machinery and equipment.
- Precision in adjusting machine controls.
- Ability to detect and recognize potential problems early.
- Capable of identifying issues and troubleshooting or notifying supervisors.
- Fine motor skills for handling and assembling small objects.
Working Hours: 6:00AM-6:00PM
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
