The Production Molder is responsible for operating molding machines to produce parts and components according to production specifications. This role involves preparing molds, loading materials, monitoring the molding process, and ensuring the quality of the final products. The Production Molder must work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate molding machines to produce parts according to detailed specifications and production schedules.
- Prepare molds by cleaning, assembling, and applying release agents as needed.
- Load raw materials into molding machines, ensuring proper amounts and consistency.
- Monitor the molding process, making adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
- Inspect molded parts for defects, ensuring they meet required quality standards and making necessary corrections.
- Perform routine maintenance on molding machines, including cleaning and lubricating equipment.
- Record production data, including quantities produced, materials used, and any issues encountered during the process.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve production issues and optimize efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Assist in other production tasks as needed, including troubleshooting equipment or assisting with material handling.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a molding or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with molding machines and related equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Working Hors: 7:00am-3:30PM
Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
