Responsible for the hands-on operation of machinery used to process metal coils to create units for mattress innersprings. The operator tends one or more machines that automatically spin wire coils and bond them into cloth pockets.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Load spools of wire and rolls of fabric, monitor the production process, adjust machine settings as needed, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Perform and record standardized quality testing and inform management of any quality issues.
  • Perform machine changeovers in a timely and efficient manner, following all job specifications.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Perform general material handling duties.
  • Organize and/or stock raw materials in the work area.
  • Operate a powered industrial truck if trained and licensed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment per 5S standards, and follow all safety protocols, including use of required PPE.
  • Report any safety, mechanical, quality, or raw material supply issues to management promptly.
  • Meet established production goals.
Experience and Skills Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of industrial machine operation experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting instructions, blueprints, and using measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • English fluency is required; Spanish fluency is a plus.

Working Hours: 3:30PM-12:00AM
Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
