Senior Refrigeration Technician

Install and repair industrial and commercial refrigerating systems according to blueprints and engineering specifications,
using knowledge of refrigeration, structural layout, and function and design of components. Work with a limited degree of
supervision, with oversight focused on complex and/or new assignments. Act as an informal resource for colleagues
with less experience.

Responsibilities:
- Lead installation and repair of industrial and commercial refrigerating systems, emphasizing HVAC with ammonia, in accordance with blueprints and engineering specifications.
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities, prioritizing system integrity and efficiency.
- Oversee and mentor junior technicians in maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Utilize expertise in ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and management teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address production efficiency concerns and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and system performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement of necessary parts and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, particularly within the cold storage industry.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior technicians to enhance their skillset and performance.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, technology, and best practices related to refrigeration systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Trade or technical school certification in HVAC with ammonia refrigeration.
- Minimum of [insert number] years of experience in industrial refrigeration, preferably in the cold storage industry.
- Strong preventative maintenance skills with a focus on system reliability and efficiency.
- HVAC license and certification with expertise in ammonia refrigeration.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor junior technicians.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards within the cold storage industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English.
Working Hours:
6AM to 2:30PM; Tuesday through Saturday
6AM to 2:30PM; Tuesday through Saturday
Compensation: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
